Expect nighttime/overnight double lane closures as crews continue paving from SR 540 (Cypress Gardens Boulevard) to Crump Road. Use caution and be prepared to merge.

This week, the contractor will be grading shoulders with nighttime/overnight lane closures and installing bases for pedestrian signals during the day. Use caution and watch for workers close to the road.

Scenic Highway remains closed from Grove Avenue to Hillcrest Avenue while crews install new drainage structures. Local motorists should follow the posted detour using Winston Avenue, South 4th Street and Domaris Avenue. Truck traffic is detoured using Hunt Brothers Road, US 27, and East Mountain Lake Cutoff Road.

The contractor will be working off the roadway this week with no planned lane closures.

Crews will be taking delivery of materials, building metal deck forms, setting bridge beams, and working on lighting. Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures throughout the project from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Wednesday.

Construction is expected to begin in the fall of 2024. There are no lane closures expected until fall.
