Upcoming Lane Closures:

Starting April 7, 2025, Saw Palmetto Parkway eastbound lanes will be temporarily closed from Babcock Ranch Road/SR 31 to Amethyst Boulevard at the entrance to TerraWalk. Eastbound lane closures are anticipated to last until April 20, 2025. The westbound lanes will be utilized to maintain both directions of travel while the eastbound lanes are closed. 

Starting April 21, 2025, Saw Palmetto Parkway's westbound lanes will be temporarily closed from Amethyst Boulevard at the entrance to TerraWalk to Babcock Ranch Road/SR 31. Westbound lane closures are anticipated to last until May 4, 2025. The eastbound lanes will be utilized to maintain both directions of travel while the westbound lanes are closed.

SR 31 at CR 74 (Bermont Road) Roundabout Construction: Construction project: During construction, motorists should expect intermittent daytime and nighttime–overnight lane closures.

• Motorists should expect to see crews performing work during the daytime hours, beginning Monday, March 24, through Thursday, March 27, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Crews will be placing permanent drainage and performing general earthwork.
• Motorists should expect to see crews performing work during the daytime hours on Friday, March 28, beginning 7 a.m. through 3 p.m. Crews will be placing permanent drainage and performing general earthwork.
• Motorists should expect to see lane closures on SR 31 and CR 74 during the nighttime/overnight hours Tuesday night, March 25 and Wednesday night March 26, between the hours of 6 p.m. through 5 a.m. There will be one lane closed in each direction Crews will be installing the last section of barrier wall.

• Motorists should expect to see crews performing work during the nighttime/overnight hours, beginning, Sunday night March 16 through Tuesday, March 18, between the hours of 6 p.m. through 5 a.m. Crews will be working on the temporary concrete barrier pinning.

US 41 (Tamiami Trail) from William Street to Peace River Bridge: Construction Project: The contractor continues work on the proposed roundabout location while traffic is shifted.

• Motorists should expect daytime and nighttime lane closures on US 41 northbound from William Street to Taylor Street.
• Motorists should expect a daytime and nighttime lane closure on US 41 southbound from West Virginia Avenue to William Street.
• Motorists should expect a road closure from Carmelita Street onto US 41 northbound.
• Phase 3B/4 Detour - Cross Street will be closed for the duration of Phase 3B/4 construction.
  • Motorists attempting to access Carmalita Street from Cross Street will have to use the posted detour. They will turn left on West Charlotte Avenue, then right on Taylor Street, and continue until they reach Carmalita Street.
• Northbound US 41 (Tamiami Trail) in the vicinity of the Roundabout has been reduced to one lane to allow traffic to traverse the area safely until the roundabout construction is complete.

SR 35 (US 17) from Tamiami Trail (US 41) to Bermont Road: Construction project: The contractor works on the shared-used pathway. The contractor has suspended paving operations until further notice and will continue to maintain the project until paving operations resume.

• Motorists should expect daytime shoulder closures on eastbound and westbound SR 35 (US 17) after 9 a.m.
• Motorists should expect an ongoing right lane closure from Maralympia to Elliot Street on Westbound SR 35 (US 17).
