About

This project is designed to extend the service life of the pavement as well as improve safety. Project improvements include milling and resurfacing of the existing pavement, signal upgrades, inside shoulder widening, bicycle keyhole lanes at the existing right turn lanes, and intersection improvements at CR 640/Homeland Garfield Road that include additional lighting and pedestrian upgrades.

Safety improvements also include revising the two full access median openings with directional median openings at 3rd Street NE and Pembroke Road North. Additionally, approximately 200’ north of Pembroke Road, the median will be widened to provide a northbound to southbound U-turn lane.
