Project Description
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District One will be providing roadway improvements on State Road (S.R.) 31 at County Road (C.R.) 74 (Bermont Road) in Charlotte County. These improvements will include constructing a roundabout, milling and resurfacing, upgrading drainage, installing new lighting, signalization, adding landscaping, signing and pavement marking.
- The primary goal of the SR 31 improvements consists of reconstructing the signalized intersection and replace it with a roundabout that will enhance connectivity, circulation, and safety.

SR 31 at CR 74 (Bermont Road) Roundabout Construction: Construction project: Crews plan to work on general earthwork and excavating for future ponds.
Motorists should expect to see crews performing work during the nighttime/overnight hours beginning Monday night, March 10, through Thursday, March 13, between the hours of 6 p.m. and 5 a.m. Crews will be placing temporary barrier walls.
Motorists should expect to see crews performing work during the daytime hours, beginning Monday, March 10, through Thursday, March 13, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Crews will be placing permanent drainage and performing general earthwork.
Motorists should expect to see crews performing work during the daytime hours on Friday, March 14, beginning 7 a.m. through 3 p.m. Crews will be placing permanent drainage and performing general earthwork.
