About
The Florida Department of Transportation will begin work in early fall to make improvements US 27 (SR 25) at SR 78 to SR 70 in Glades County. This safety and improvement project will include concrete intersection reconstruction, milling, resurfacing, drainage, guardrail, signage and pavement markings. The project length is approximately .28 miles.

US 27 (SR 25) at SR 78 Intersection: Construction project: Crews will be reconstructing the intersection with concrete pavement. Other improvements include milling, resurfacing, drainage, guardrail, signing and pavement markings. Please use caution in the area and watch for workers, traffic signage, detours and equipment throughout the project.
- On US 27 between St. Joseph Way Road and Little H Street, one westbound lane will be closed (either the inside or outside lane) and one eastbound lane will be closed (either the inside or outside lane) as needed, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, October 28, through Friday, November 1, 2024, for temporary drainage installation and road widening. A travel lane will remain open in both directions.
Project completion is expected mid-2025.
