Project Description

Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is designing improvements along SR 684 (Cortez Road) from  from 26th Street West to 14th Street West (US 41) in Bradenton, Manatee County. The project will improve access to retail locations, improve traffic flow through the corridor and enhance lighting. The posted speed limit will be maintained, as will pedestrian access to bus stops and side streets.

• Median modifications, modifying median openings, turn lanes and driveways
• Mid-block pedestrian crossings
• Resurfacing the roadway
• Improve pedestrian lighting
• Improve vehicle and pedestrian safety
