About
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will begin an approximately 1.3-mile road resurfacing project along the scenic Skyway Bridge from SR 55 from the northbound rest area to the Skyway Bridge Fishing Pier.
The roadway improvements consist of milling and resurfacing, shoulder reconstruction, guardrail, bridge expansion joints, signing and pavement markings, along with ITS improvements.
Start date is expected fall 2023.
