About
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) invites you to a Public Workshop for the SR 684 (Cortez Rd W) at Royal Palm Drive traffic signal/median modification project in Manatee County. This project will improve safety and operations at the intersection and reduce crashes.
The project includes:
- A new traffic signal at Royal Palm Drive with protected left turns
- A signalized pedestrian crosswalk with a raised refuge island
- Full turn lanes with raised traffic separators
Public Involvement
The Public Workshop is being conducted to present the design concept and provide an opportunity for the public to express their views about the project. You can participate in-person June 13, 2024, anytime between 5-7 pm at the Bridge Church, 4000 75th Street W, Bradenton, FL 34209. Project information will be available for review and comment. The project team will be available for discussion. Project information shown at the in-person workshop will also be available online. If you are unable to attend the in-person workshop, comments can be provided by email to Walter Breuggeman, FDOT Project Manager, walter.breuggeman@dot.state.fl.us, or mail at FDOT District One, Attn: Walter Breuggeman, 801 Broadway Ave, Bartow, FL 33830. While comments about the project are accepted at any time, they must be received or postmarked by July 8, 2024, to be included in the formal workshop record. Questions can be answered by calling Walter Breuggeman, the FDOT Project Manager, at 863-519-2347. FDOT is sending notices to property owners, business owners, interested persons, and organizations within 300 feet of the project to provide the opportunity to give comments to FDOT regarding this project
