About
The SR 70 Resurfacing and Median Modification from US 441 to NE 17th Avenue is a Resurfacing, Restoration, and Rehabilitation (RRR) project intended to extend the service life of the existing roadway, improve safety and correct deficiencies. This project will include milling and resurfacing of the existing pavement with new striping, upgrading highway signing, converting the full median opening at NE 3rd Avenue to a directional median opening and signal removal, reconstruction of the sidewalks to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) criteria, driveway reconstruction, replacement of a portion of the drainage system, and new signals and lighting at NE 8th Avenue.

SR 70 From East of US 441 to Northeast 17th Avenue: Construction project: Crews will be working on milling and resurfacing, base work, drainage improvements, curb and gutter, guardrails, traffic signals, signage, pavement markings, lighting and other incidental construction.
• Motorists should expect intermittent daytime and nighttime lane closures to take place both eastbound and westbound on SR 70 between NE 17th Avenue and NE 4th Avenue for curb/sidewalk removal and pour back. Lane closures will take place in the outside travel lanes.Expected completion is early 2025
