The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is developing a project to expand 5.5 miles of SR 60 (from CR 630 to Grape Hammock Road) from two to four lanes. The widened roadway will have four 12-foot travel lanes in each direction and ten-foot shoulders (five feet paved). A 40-foot grassed median will separate the eastbound and westbound travel lanes.

Construction is not currently funded.
