The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District One, is proposing improvements at multiple intersections along US 41 in Sarasota County. The purpose of the improvements is to improve safety, enhance traffic flow, and reduce crashes. The proposed improvements include converting existing full median openings to two-way directional median openings at five (5) intersections along the corridor: Lazy River Road, Riverwalk Drive/De Miranda Avenue, Palm Harbor Drive, Blackburn Boulevard/Ortega Place, and El Prado Avenue.
