Lane closure scheduled for April 15 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

SARASOTA, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will close the inside eastbound (off island) lane on Stickney Point Road on Tuesday, April 15 from approximately 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. so workers can complete median reconstruction. Both westbound (on island) lanes remain fully open. Bridge openings can occur throughout the day.

This will be the final daytime lane closure on Stickney Point Road for motorists exiting Siesta Key Island prior to the completion of the project. Motorists wishing to travel off the island on April 15 may wish to use the north bridge instead.

Motorists are also advised there will be minor overnight intermittent closures while final thermoplastic pavement markings are completed on Thursday, April 17.
