Southbound Lane Closure at Matanzas Pass Bridge Cancelled
FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. – The scheduled southbound lane closure approaching Matanzas Pass Bridge, originally planned for tonight, March 18, at 7 p.m., has been cancelled until further notice. When the closure is rescheduled, the public will be given ample notice in advance to adjust their routes and avoid traffic congestion.
The closure was intended for crews to implement a temporary traffic pattern shift at the base of the Matanzas Pass Bridge and remain in place until paving operations occur this spring. Motorists are still encouraged to drive with caution while traveling through the area.
Safety is the agency's top priority, and everything we do is guided by that commitment.
