OKEECHOBEE, Fla.  – Motorists are advised of an emergency lane closure on State Road 70 (SR 70) eastbound from US 441 to SE 5th Avenue in Okeechobee County. The closure is necessary due to a void in the roadway near SE 3rd Avenue.

The outside eastbound lane will remain closed until further notice while crews assess the situation and perform necessary repairs.

Motorists should use alternate routes and add additional travel time through the area.
