Intermittent Bridge Closures along Little Pine Island Bridge
MATLACHA, Fla. – Upcoming intermittent bridge closures on Friday, March 14, to allow crews to accept deliveries of slab beams to the worksite and unload onto the barge. There will be one delivery on this day. The delivery will begin at approximately 3 a.m. There will be six trucks in total spaced at least 15 minutes apart. It will take approximately two minutes to stop each truck and offload onto the barge.
Flaggers will be present on both sides of the bridge to clear traffic in between deliveries to lessen the impact to motorists on and off the island.
Motorists are asked to exercise caution and reduce their speed while driving through the work zone.
