MATLACHA, Fla. – Upcoming road closure the morning of Thursday, February 20, on Pine Island Road, just east of the Little Pine Island Bridge, to install a concrete utility pole. For the safety of the traveling public, both lanes will be closed for approximately 20 minutes as crews transport the pole over the two lanes of traffic. This closure is scheduled to take place at 2 a.m. Crews on site will allow emergency vehicles to pass if needed.
