Morning Live Shot(s) on ‘Operation Spring Into Safety’

What:              The media is invited to conduct morning live shots on the ‘Operation Spring into Safety’ Touch-A-Truck event with the Florida Department of Transportation, Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, State College of Florida, and the Florida Highway Patrol. Large and heavy equipment will be used as a backdrop.

When:             Friday, February 14, 2025 from 4:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.

Where:            State College of Florida Main Parking Lot

Background: Hundreds are expected to attend the ‘Operation Spring into Safety’

                       Touch-A-Truck event Saturday, February 15th, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at State

                       College of Florida, located at 5840 26th Street W, Bradenton, FL 34207.

This promises to be one of Bradenton’s largest Touch-a-Truck events where children and adults have a rare and unique opportunity to learn about traffic safety by exploring amazing and heavy equipment used in emergencies and routine work such as helicopters, fire trucks, police patrol cars, bomb trucks, dump trucks, robots, marine airboats, muck excavators, semitrucks, swamp buggies, etc.

This free event is a joint effort with FDOT, Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, State College of Florida, the Florida Highway Patrol, and other partner agencies.
