Crews are on site to make repairs as soon as possible to reopen lanes

BRADENTON, Fla. –The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and  project crews are on site after an early-morning break in the watermain caused  lane closures along US Business 41 northbound between, 6th Avenue West and Manatee Avenue.

As a result, a road closure is in place for northbound traffic on US Business 41 at 6th Avenue. Motorists can turn right onto 6th Avenue West, make the next left-hand turn onto 8th Street West, make another left onto Manatee Avenue and the next right onto US Business 41 northbound to the Green Bridge.

The City of Bradenton is on site along with repair crews to isolate the watermain valves necessary to close the water flow and then begin repairs.

Motorists are urged to use caution, use an alternate route and to remain alert for workers and equipment in the area.
