CITY OF MARCO ISLAND, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) invites you to a public meeting for the Caxambas Court over Roberts Bay Bridge Replacement Project in Collier County at the City of Marco Island, Community Room on Thursday, October 24, 2024.
This project is intended to replace the current bridge, which was constructed in 1973, and will enhance the structural integrity by incorporating current design standards along with improving safety, drainage, and adding new signage and striping. Proposed improvements also include milling and resurfacing of the roadway and a new sidewalk.
The Public Meeting is being held to present information about the preliminary design and provide the opportunity to provide feedback. You can participate online or in-person. The information presented during either format will be the same and all attendees will have the opportunity to comment.

While comments about the project are accepted at any time, they must be received or postmarked by Thursday, November 7, 2024, to be included in the public meeting record.
FDOT is sending notices to property owners, business owners, interested people and organizations within at least 300 feet of the project to provide the opportunity to give comments to FDOT regarding this project. FDOT solicits public participation without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status. The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by FDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. §327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated May 26, 2022, and executed by FHWA and FDOT.
