Sarasota County, Fla. Beginning Thursday night, September 19, at 8 p.m., all southbound traffic on SR  777 (River Road) will be switched to the new southbound alignment from just south of Venice Avenue to south of Aucilla Drive.  Please watch for signs directing traffic.

Northbound River Road traffic will not be affected by the shift. All neighborhood and side street entrances will be maintained during the shift. Off-duty officers will be on-site to assist.

Motorists are encouraged to slow down and use caution while traveling through the work zone.
