FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. – FDOT has completed their inspection of the Matanzas Bridge and confirmed that damage today caused by a shrimp boat was limited to scrapes to the paint on the outside beam. The bridge will remain open.

The U.S. Coast Guard, Lee County Sheriff’s Office and the Captain of the Port are aware of these findings.
