The Highlands County Feasibility Study focuses on US 27, a critical roadway serving Highlands County and the surrounding communities. This roadway is significantly affected by the region’s rapid growth.
The Feasibility Study identified key challenges along US 27, including safety conflicts among travelers, heightened truck usage, limited alternative routes, and conflicts with adjacent communities' long-term growth visions. The study includes recommendations to conduct further analyses with the goal of addressing the safe and efficient movement of goods and people, while supporting the plans of Highlands County and local communities.
Join us at the public meeting to share your insights and help shape the future of safe transportation mobility in the region.
