MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. – Contractors for the Florida Department of Transportation will install signal mast arms at the intersection of US 301 and Whitfield Avenue (both northbound and southbound) next week during nighttime hours. Motorists can expect flagging operations that prevent access to the intersection in all directions from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Monday, June 17 and Thursday, June 20, 2024. During these flagging operations, traffic hold times could extend up to 15 minutes to allow for the secure installation of the mast arms and to maintain the safety of the traveling public. Please follow flagger directions and use caution in the area or consider alternate routes during the installation operation. Emergency vehicles will be given priority during this operation.
