HARDEE COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation’s contractor will conduct a detour operation with a lane closure for westbound traffic on SR 64 from US 17 to County Road 636 (CR 636) during nighttime hours on May 23, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. This lane closure will allow crews to conduct paving operations in the westbound lane on SR 64. Motorists will be directed to travel northbound on US 17 to the detour at CR 636 and follow CR 636 to access SR 64 westbound. Eastbound SR 64 will remain open from CR 636 to US 17. Please expect longer waits than normal during this time and use caution in the area.
