Fort Lauderdale, FL – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will close two outside lanes on southbound (eastbound) I-75 at Glades Parkway near the City of Weston to complete concrete deck repairs at the overpass. The closures will start tonight on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 9:00 PM. The affected lanes are scheduled to re-open by 6:00 a.m. on Friday, March 22, 2024. 

Motorists traveling from southbound (eastbound) I-75 / Alligator Alley to points east (Sunrise, Davie, Fort Lauderdale) and south (Miami, Pembroke Pines, Miramar) should not detour and should instead remain on I-75, using the remaining one lane open.  

Motorists coming from US-27 or wanting to access the Glades Parkway exit should follow the detours listed below. See attached schematics.

Detours:

Motorists traveling northbound on US-27 to southbound (eastbound) I-75 will be detoured via SR-84

Motorists traveling southbound on US-27 to southbound (eastbound) I-75 will be need to U-turn after the interchange and be detoured via SR-84

Motorists traveling southbound (eastbound) on I-75 for the Glades Parkway exit will be detoured via US-27 and SR-84

Motorists traveling northbound (westbound) on I-75 for the Glades Parkway exit will not be affected.
