• I-75 at S.R. 951 (exit 101) Interchange Improvements: FDOT is reconstructing the I-75 southbound on- and off-ramp connections and the northbound on-ramp connection to the mainline lanes at S.R. 951 (exit 101). The northeast quadrant loop ramp will be connected to, and accessible only by, a direct flyover ramp from northbound Collier Boulevard starting south of the Davis Boulevard intersection. This single-lane flyover ramp will carry traffic over Beck Boulevard and a reconstructed I-75 southbound on-ramp. A single-lane flyover ramp extension will carry I-75 southbound traffic over Davis Boulevard to a new signalized intersection at Collier Boulevard and Business Circle North. This ramp will extend along the western side of Collier Boulevard. 

   

  The following activities are subject to change based on weather conditions and unforeseen underground conditions. 

   

  • Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures for southbound and northbound C.R. 951/Collier Boulevard during nighttime/overnight hours for crews to install temporary barrier wall, move equipment, deliver materials, and construct the overhead bridge work.  

   

  • Motorists should expect the outside right turn lane from southbound S.R. 951 to westbound S.R. 84/Davis Boulevard closed.  Drivers can continue to turn right from the remaining open turn lane.  This closure is needed for crews to begin work for the bridge foundation installation and will remain in place through job completion. 

   

  • Pedestrians should expect a sidewalk closure along S.R. 84 (Davis Boulevard) just west of S.R. 951 (Collier Boulevard) and along S.R. 951 (Collier Boulevard) between S.R. 84 (Davis Boulevard) and Business Circle North. Pedestrians may use S.R. 84 (Davis Boulevard) to Market Street to Business Circle South to access S.R. 951 (Collier Boulevard). 

   

  • Motorists are advised that the S.R. 84 (Davis Boulevard) eastbound direct access ramp heading south to S.R. 951 (Collier Boulevard) is permanently closed. The eastbound to southbound right turn will be available at the intersection. 

   

  • Motorists should expect reduced lane widths for southbound Collier Boulevard between Business Circle North and Business Circle South.

• I-75 at Pine Ridge Road (exit 107) Interchange Improvements: FDOT is reconstructing the I-75 at Pine Ridge Road interchange. The interchange improvements include reconstruction of the Pine Ridge Road Interchange converting to a Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) design, reconstruction of the interchange on and off ramps, construction of pedestrian and bicycle accommodations through the interchange, installation of new signals at the ramps, and resurfacing of Pine Ridge Road through the project area. 

   

  The following activities are subject to change based on weather conditions and unforeseen underground conditions. 

    

  • Crews will be working on paving, drainage installation, roadway work, pond excavation, and underground utilities. 

   

  • Motorists should anticipate lane closures on Pine Ridge Road during the nighttime/overnight hours of 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., and ramp closures from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Please use extra caution when driving through this area and expect delays.    

   

  • Please note that traffic on Pine Ridge Road on the east side of I-75 has shifted to the north. Also, the westbound lanes of Pine Ridge Road have shifted one lane to the north, back to their original position, and the eastbound lanes of Pine Ridge Road, west of I-75, have shifted one lane to the south. Traffic on the southbound off-ramp has shifted one lane to the east.  

   

  • Crews will be working on clearing and grubbing and installing erosion control throughout the project area.

• I-75 at Daniels Parkway (exit 131) Interchange Improvements: FDOT is reconstructing the I-75 at Daniels Parkway interchange. The interchange improvements include reconstruction of the Daniels Parkway Interchange (Exit 131) converting it to a Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) design, reconstruction of the I-75 ramps, construction of pedestrian and bicycle accommodations through the interchange, installation of new signals at the ramps, and resurfacing of Daniels Parkway through the project area. 

   

  The following activities are subject to change based on weather conditions and unforeseen underground conditions. 

    

  • During the nighttime/overnight hours of 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. from Sunday, March 29 through Thursday, April 2, motorists should anticipate lane closures on northbound I-75 for crews to work on temporary roadway construction. 

   

  • Crews are working on widening at the southbound I-75 off-ramp and Daniels Parkway.  

   

  • Crews are working on earthwork and underground drainage throughout the project area. 

   

  • Please note that the westbound lanes on Daniels Parkway, west of I-75, are shifted slightly to the south, then back to the north. Traffic on the southbound I-75 off-ramp has also shifted to the east. Please pay attention to signs and pavement marking and drive with caution.   

   

  • Motorists are advised that the speed limit has been reduced in the project area. Please follow all posted signage. 

   

  • Pedestrian access has been shifted to the south side of Daniels Parkway. Please follow signs and proceed with caution in the work zone. 

   

  • Motorists should expect trucks and equipment to be moving materials throughout the project. 

   

  • When necessary, motorists should anticipate lane closures on I-75 between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. and on Daniels Parkway between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m., with the exception of three hours before, during and three hours after Spring Training baseball games at Hammond Stadium and Jet Blue Park.

View project: SR 777 River Road from US 41 to I-75

• S.R. 777 River Road from I-75 to U.S. 41: Construction project: Road embankment installation continues on the northbound roadway from Aucilla Drive to U.S. 41, and Venice Avenue to I-75. As embankment is completed, drainage installations, subgrade mixing, curb placement, and roadway grading will continue. Sod installation, signal, ITS, and lighting work are ongoing. Trucks will be crossing the road at various locations using intermittent flagging operations. Pothole maintenance will continue as necessary on all current travel ways through the project. Crews will continue mainline asphalt paving operations from Myakka Trails to U.S. 41 intermittently throughout the week. Flagging operations may be used from Myakka Trails to U.S 41 to guide travelers through the work area as paving occurs. Please use caution and follow all road work and regulatory signs when traveling through the project.

• I-75 at Toledo Blade Boulevard (exit 179) and Sumter Boulevard (exit 182) Interchange Improvements: FDOT is making improvements to the I-75 at Toledo Blade Boulevard and I-75 at Sumter Boulevard interchanges. Improvements for both interchanges include the installation of signals at both ramp connections, controlled pedestrian crosswalks, intersection lighting, and the addition of northbound I-75 free flow on-ramps from southbound Toledo Blade Boulevard and from southbound Sumter Boulevard. In addition, northbound lanes will be widened to provide two full lanes through the Toledo Blade Boulevard interchange. At the Sumter Boulevard interchange, dual left turn lanes will be added from northbound Sumter Boulevard onto northbound I-75. 

   

  The following activities are subject to change based on weather conditions and unforeseen underground conditions. 

    

  • During the week of Monday, April 6, motorists should expect crews to begin some preliminary work at both interchanges, including conduit installation and prep work for drilled shaft installation.  

   

  • When necessary, motorists should anticipate lane closures on the I-75 ramps between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. and full ramp closures between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. Single lane closures on Sumter Boulevard and Toledo Blade Boulevard can be expected from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. as well as 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., and double lane closures from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
