The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is improving the safety and rideability of US 27 from north of Cypress Gardens Boulevard to north of Kokomo Road in Davenport. Project improvements include:

• Resurfacing US 27 and connecting side street entrances
• Adding a new signal and improving the turn radius at Kokomo Road
• Adding high-visibility crosswalks at Crump Road/West Main Street and at Kokomo Road
• Replacing existing street light fixtures with LED light fixtures

Motorists can expect single lane closures during the day and double lane closures at night/overnight, so use caution, watch for equipment and workers close to the road, and be prepared to merge or stop.
