The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will begin milling and resurfacing U.S. 41/ State Road (S.R.) 45 from Edwards Drive to Magellan Drive, U.S. 41/S.R. 45 from south of General Spaatz Boulevard to North of Edwards Drive and U.S. 41/S.R. 45 over Bowlees Creek Bridge. Improvements will also include median modifications, lighting, signalization, drainage, curb and gutter, and guardrail removal/replacement within the project limits. Part of the project will include median modifications to the center lane, where raised medians will be installed to increase safety and reduce conflict points along the corridor. The project spans just over 2.5 miles with an estimated project cost of $15.4 million.
