The project proposes interim median modifications to reduce conflict points and improve safety at the intersections of SR 82 with Sunshine Boulevard, Alabama Road, Blackstone Drive/Grant Boulevard, Rue Labeau Circle, Parkdale Boulevard, Bell Boulevard and Columbus Boulevard. The proposed safety improvements will prohibit left-turns from these sidestreets onto SR 82. This traffic will be required to turn right onto SR 82 and make a U-turn at one of the adjacent intersections.  Long term safety improvements continue to be considered and evaluated. 

A public meeting is being held to present information about the proposed safety improvements. There will be three options to attend the public meeting:

ONLINE: Attend virtually from a computer, tablet or mobile device on April 9, 2024, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. You can register in advance by visiting  https://bit.ly/48R6VCf. Once registered, attendees will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting online. 

PHONE: Join the virtual meeting in listen-only mode by dialing +1 (319) 423-3625 and entering the passcode 642-185-75 when prompted.  This will enable over-the-phone attendees to listen to the presentation.

IN-PERSON: The in-person public meeting will be held on April 11, 2024, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Gateway Trinity Lutheran Church at 11381 Gateway Boulevard, Fort Myers, FL 33913.

All meeting materials will be available on the project website from April 9 through April 30, 2024. A copy of these materials will also be displayed at the in-person meeting.  You may choose any combination of the options provided to review the materials and to submit your comments.
