Bartow, Fla. –  The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) invites you to a second Public Workshop for the SR 29 Improvements Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Re-Evaluation (FPID 417878-8) from County Road 80A (Cowboy Way) to north of CR 731 (Whidden Road) in Hendry and Glades Counties. The second Public Workshop is being conducted to present changes in design based on stakeholder comments. The workshop will present information about the updated alternatives and provides the opportunity for the public to express their views about the project.

You can participate live online or in-person. The same materials will be displayed at both the online and in-person events.

This event will include a viewing of the project video and a live question-and-answer component with the project team. Please review the materials on project webpage before attending (https://www.swflroads.com/project/417878-8). Materials will be posted by January 24, 2024.

While comments about the project are accepted at any time, they must be received or postmarked by February 12, 2024, to be included in the formal workshop record. FDOT is sending notices to property owners, business owners, interested persons and organizations within 300 feet of the project to provide the opportunity to give comments to FDOT regarding this project. FDOT solicits public participation without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status.
