Manatee and Hardee Counties, Fla. – Crews will be installing rumble strips on several roadways in Manatee and Hardee Counties. Installing the rumble strips will be an overnight, moving operation. Motorists should expect moving lane closures during the overnight hours from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. within the work zone. The installation and corresponding moving lane closures schedule is:

  • Tuesday, December 5 on US 301 from Moccasin Wallow Road to Manatee/Hillsborough County line
  • Wednesday, December 6 on SR 62 from US 301 to just east of Spencer Parrish Road
  • Thursday, December 7 on SR 70 from Bourneside Boulevard to CR 675 Waterbury Road
  • Sunday, December 10 on US 301 from Rutlin Road to Erie Road
  • Monday, December 11 on SR 64 from 57th Street E. to 66th Street E. and from 117th Street E. to just west of Lorraine Road.
  • Tuesday, December 12 on SR 70 from just east of Caruso Road to Creekwood Boulevard and from Brandon Run to just east of Lakewood Ranch
  • Wednesday, December 13 on US 41 from 23rd Street W to just north of Bayshore Road
  • Thursday, December 14 on US 41 from north of I-275 to the Manatee/Hillsborough County line and from Terra Ceia Road to I-275 north on-ramp
  • Sunday, December 17 on US 17 from Sweetwater Road to College Lane in Hardee County
  • Monday, December 18 on US 17 from College Lane to Zolfo Springs City limits in Hardee County
  • Tuesday, December 19 on SR 636 from Griffin Road to just west of SR 64 in Hardee County
  • Wednesday, December 20 and Thursday, December 21, on SR 64 from Morgan Grice Road to just west of S Warfield Road

Motorists are urged to exercise caution, expect possible delays, and reduce their speed within the work zone.
